I hope you have had a wonderful summer filled with family and friends. With the start of the school year just around the corner, I wanted to take a moment to provide the HES community with some background on their new principal at HES.
This year marks my twenty-third year in education, twelve as an administrator. Previously, I served as a social studies teacher (10 yrs.), athletic director and assistant principal (5 years) and finally as principal for 7 years. As some of you may know, I live locally in Sharon, Vermont and have loved becoming a part of Vermont life. I am originally from New York, and grew up in a very traditional Italian family, we call it sauce not gravy! You can usually find me doing one of a few things: cooking, fishing , most outside activities, or spending time with our family and friends. (pictures included)
Anyone who has worked with me knows that I am a student-centered educator and administrator. It is also important to know that I am equally supportive of my faculty and staff. I believe that reaching a student’s maximum learning potential can be achieved through the implementation of both school-wide behavioral strategies and a strong academic structure. One of my main goals will be to continue strengthening the relationships and connections that exist with our Hartland families, students, and our community.
I am very excited to be joining HES, along with some other new faces this year. With your assistance and dedication, we will achieve the desirable school environment that is consistent with our determined goal of success and excellence. I welcome your feedback and will be seeking your input as we work to make this a fantastic school year. Please feel free to call me or email me with any concerns or questions.
Sincerely,
Frank Romeo
Hartland Principal
